The mission of Grace United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ. One of the ways we do that is by growing more caring through Fellowship. Following are some of the ministries that fall under this area.
Fellowship Purpose Ministry Team
The mission of the Fellowship Purpose Ministry Team is to encourage disciples to purposefully share, care and connect with our Grace brothers and sisters while becoming seekers of Christ’s Heart. The Fellowship Purpose Ministry team accomplishes this mission through the following Service Teams. Lay Visitation Ministry
After 10–12 hours of formal training, participants will be equipped to minister to hospitalized, sick, lonely and homebound church members. Volunteers will visit hospitals, nursing homes and/or individual residences. Ongoing support from the Pastoral Care Team is an integral part of this ministry. Respite for Caregiver
Sitting with a chronically or terminally ill loved one while the caregiver has a chance to get a break from the care giving responsibilities. Contact Joan Lester (phone: 217-877-0613, email: rklester@insightbb.com) for more information.
Transportation
Willing to drive persons occasionally to medical appointments, errands and/or grocery shopping. For more information contact Jack Kenny at Jkenny630@aol.com.
Card Ministry
Cards are sent out with love from the people of Grace with the message of "What Happens To You Matters To Us" look for the card table in the Fireside Room on Sunday mornings. For more information contact Donna Luppes at dluppes@insightbb.com.
Home Maintenance

Meals With A Message
